Life so far

So, I am new to the whole blog thing... I started a blog initially back in October 2009, but it did not go far!  Where to begin??
Well, 2010 has been an eventful year so far!!  January 29th I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and we named her Izabella Jane.  My boyfriend Shane and I have been together for 4 years and now we have our own little family!!
Then, the end of February, we closed on our very first house!  We moved from our small 2 bedroom apartment in Urbana to our new 4 bedroom house in Rankin on February 26th..  Our house needs quite a bit of work, and we will get to the remodeling eventually...
It is now the middle of April and I began my very first garden as well.  Shane has been a big help with that!  We decided we wanted to can tomatoes and green beans and have potatoes etc.  We have a huge garden and I think I have more hot pepper plants then I will know what to do with!
I am also working on my teaching certification at Millikin University.  This process is now going a lot slower than I anticipated.  With having a family, and a baby at that, school is not my first priority too much.  I usually procrastinate until the due date of my homework and then I will work on it.  I know, I know, but my life is very hectic and I just put my baby girl before anything these days!  I wouldn't trade her for the world!
