It's been a while!

So, it has been quite a while since blogging!  I guess life just got away from me!!  I made a promise to blog more often!  Shane is on 2nd shift now starting today so Izzy and I will be home alone from now on in the evenings!!  We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Michigan!!  It was totally much needed!!  My school begins on Monday July 12.  I have class from 6pm-10pm.  It is tough now because our neighbor is going to babysit Izzy on Monday but Shane is going to try to get Mondays off work.  I am sitting here at work wondering how I will balance my life out! eek!! I still have to take my real estate test as well to get my license.. I am thinking about that as well as my basic skills test - which is on the 17th!  My goodness will it ever end??  Well, on a lighter note, I'm going to make the best of it!  : )

1st Ceral Meal!

Here are some pictures of Izabella's first cereal meal... she lapped the cereal down and wanted more!!

Happy Birthday! Cereal! And, A Little Less Stressed!

Well, to start off, Happy Birthday to Izabella!  She turned 3 months old on Thursday!  It was a great day!  She is getting so big!!!!  So, as a little present, Daddy and Mommy decided to introduce her to some cereal!  Yesterday, I went to Meijer and purcahsed a box of Gerber Rice Cereal.  We introduced it last night before bed time.  Must I say, she abosolutely LOVED it!!  She has been smacking her lips for quite some time.  She always wants to be a part of dinner as well.  If she is sitting in her bouncy seat at dinner, she wants to be right up on the counter top sitting with mom and dad.  The other day, I was eating a cinnamon roll and she opened her mouth and smacked her chops while watching me eat.  So, we thought it was time to introduce it to her!  I fixed her about a teaspoon of cereal with some milk.  She lapped that down with the spoon and then I put a little in a bottle with some milk.  Must I say, she got her belly full and slept 7 hours!  She loved the cereal!!  I think it was a good idea!!
I am also a little less stressed today because I am completely finished with the History class.  So, now,I have today and tomorrow to work on my project for Special Education which by the way, I have not yet started.  It is made up of about 3-4 paragraphs.  So, I don't think it will be too difficult to complete!  I feel really good that I am not as stressed now!!
It is going to be a great day because it is nice outside!!
Pictures of Izzy's first cereal meal to follow soon!

Stressed out just a little!

Where to begin!!! I want to just pull my hair out today!  I am absolutely the most stressed that I think I have ever been in my entire life!!!  I have so much to do in the next few days that I wonder if I can get it all done?  I have 2 finals for classes for spring semester, a project that is due Monday that I have not even started yet, a Real Estate test on Tuesday on Chapter 4 and I haven't even read Chapters 1,2 or 3!  Let's see, working a 40 hour work week and then on top of everything else, juggling a baby and having to come home after a long day and cook dinner on top of everything else and clean up dishes!  Sometimes I wonder why Shane can't help me out?  I mean, he does make sure the house is clean and picked up but there are days I wish to come home from work and have dinner already made and sitting on the table for me when I walk in the door.  Why can't he do things like that?  I love him but sometimes when I am this stressed, just a little caring goes a long way!  I know he looks at the picture differently, because he thinks making sure the house is clean, the lawn is mowed, and clothes are washed etc is his chores.  I wish he wouldn't even worry about that small stuff for once and just worry about dinner and fixing it for once.  It would be nice and I would be so happy - especially while I am so stressed out during the last week of school!!

That really helped to vent a lot!!

Tomorrow, I will post a recipe for Spicy Chicken Wings... they are the bomb!! : )

Happy Birthday Daddy

So, today was daddy's 27th birthday! Happy birthday Daddy!!  Izabella graced us this morning at 6:00am sharp!  She was squealing in her bassinet - she was sooo darn happy!  It was really very cute!  Well, I imagine she was happy.  She fell asleep the night before at 6:30pm and slept until 11 and was hungry and then after she ate, she went back to sleep until 4:30 and then I fed her again.  I mean she was as happy as a lark!  I got ready for work and Izzy and daddy stayed home.  Daddy is on vacation this week so that is nice as well!  I left for work and I was able to take my 1/2 day because I worked last Saturday.  So, I got to leave to go home at 11:00am.  I made it back home and Izzy was asleep again!  Daddy said she had been sleeping from 10am-on.. it was nearing 1:00pm and we were wanting to head back to Champaign.  So, I had to wake her up and feed her and of course, she was happy to see mommy.  We got ready to go and headed to Champaign to window shop!  We did buy some things that we needed for the house.  Shane got his Nike/Ipod running chip and we purchased 2 sets of trimmers.  I branch trimmer and a hedge trimmer and then some weed and feed and some poison ivy round-up.  We were walking around the house before we left and noticed we had a little bunch of poison ivy next to our ginormous lilac bush!  So, we need to take care of that asap!!  Oh, and Daddy got Dots gummys from Izzy and Mommy and a new DeWalt Hammer Drill from us as well.  We are good to Daddy!!

Well, the night is coming to an end... and Daddy is out in the living room playing MAG on his PS3.  So, us girls are going to bed!! But, I think Daddy had a great birthday!  He said he felt 25 today!

The Middle Wife

So, here is a funny story....

The 'Middle Wife' by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher

I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back.

When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually,

show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome.

Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater.

She holds up a snapshot of an infant. 'This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday.'

'First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord.'

She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching her in amazement.

'Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. 'She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!' (Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.)

' My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this.' (Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.)

'And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!' (This kid has her legs spread with her little hands mimicking water flowing away. It was too much!)

'Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe.

They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, (placenta) so there must be a lot of toys inside there. When he got out, the middle wife spanked him for crawling up in there.'

Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat.

I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, when it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another ' Middle Wife' comes along.

Now you have two choices...laugh and close this page or pass this along to someone else to spread the laughs. I know what I did!!!

Live every day as if it is your LAST chance to make someone happy!!!!

Lemons

THIS SHOULD PROBABLY BE TAPED TO YOUR BATHROOM MIRROR
WHERE ONE COULD READ IT EVERY DAY.

YOU MAY NOT REALIZE IT, BUT IT'S 100% TRUE.

1. THERE ARE AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT YOU WOULD DIE FOR.

2. AT LEAST 15 PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD LOVE YOU IN SOME WAY.

3. THE ONLY REASON ANYONE WOULD EVER HATE YOU IS BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU.

4. A SMILE FROM YOU CAN BRING HAPPINESS TO ANYONE, EVEN IF THEY DON'T LIKE YOU.

5. EVERY NIGHT, SOMEONE THINKS ABOUT YOU BEFORE THEY GO TO SLEEP.

6. YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO SOMEONE.

7. YOU ARE SPECIAL AND UNIQUE.

8. SOMEONE THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW EXISTS LOVES YOU.

9. WHEN YOU MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER, SOMETHING GOOD COMES FROM IT.

10. WHEN YOU THINK THE WORLD HAS TURNED ITS BACK ON YOU, TAKE ANOTHER LOOK.

ALWAYS REMEMBER....
WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS, ASK FOR TEQUILA AND SALT AND CALL ME OVER!

GOOD FRIENDS ARE LIKE STARS... YOU DON'T ALWAYS SEE THEM,
BUT YOU KNOW THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE.

"WHENEVER GOD CLOSES ONE DOOR HE ALWAYS OPENS ANOTHER, EVEN THOUGH SOMETIMES IT'S HELL IN THE HALLWAY"

I WOULD RATHER HAVE ONE ROSE AND A KIND WORD FROM A FRIEND WHILE I'M HERE THAN A WHOLE TRUCK LOAD WHEN I'M GONE.

HAPPINESS KEEPS YOU SWEET,
TRIALS KEEP YOU STRONG,
SORROWS KEEP YOU HUMAN,
FAILURE KEEPS YOU HUMBLE,
SUCCESS KEEPS YOU GLOWING,
BUT ONLY
GOD KEEPS YOU GOING.

"WORRY LOOKS AROUND, SORRY LOOKS BACK, AND FAITH LOOKS UP"

This was a cute email that I got from one of my very good friends and I thought it was fitting to share on my blog!
